Field Day 2011!!

Everyone did a great job and really had great team spirit!!! Congratulations to everyone!!!

One week before CRCT!

We have one week before the CRCT and you all are ready!!! We will be doing a daily review over different skills this week to refresh our memories and you can go to my math blog and review previous posts. Also, I suggest you work on studyisland and georgiaoas.org this week for additional practice.

Crazy Week

This week we have the media festival (projects were due and turned in on Monday), the 5th Grade GA Writing Assessment (your child should have brought home a letter), and the black history bowl (on Friday). What a busy week! Your child has brought home words and leads and endings to study tonight along with the task of trying to get on the math blog to study circle parts. If you have forgotten the math blog, just click on the following: Math Blog

Also, the writing assessment is tomorrow, so please remember to eat a good breakfast and believe in yourselves. You have all worked hard this year, so go into this writing assessment with confidence because you all will do AWESOME!!!!

What a Month!

We have had such a busy October! Thank you all for participating in Red Ribbon Week! We've learned all about living drug free. This next month we have a Veteran's Day holiday and Thanksgiving Break.

A Few Notes...

I wanted to remind you about some things that are coming up. First thing, picture orders need to be turned into me by Friday October 1st if you plan on ordering. Also, McTeacher's Night is coming up on Thursday at McDonald's on Hwy 196. Your child brought home a yellow notice for this today.

Study Guides

Your child has a study guide for Science and Math. Every night he or she should be studying his or her study guides. This is homework EVERY NIGHT. By studying these guides, your child will have a better understanding of the information. If your child is not bringing home his or her study guides, please remind him or her of the need for studying those skills and bringing home those study guides. If you have any questions about this, then please let me know through an email or posting below; however, I will post an image of what the study guides should look like for Science and Math soon.
